Liquid Lasers
22 February 2012
Not sure if this has been posted before, according to a quick search it hasn’t… Just discovered these magical little devices called laser gloves that were built by Trinary Products. Amaze your audience as you wield lasers with your hands! They have the ability to vary their focal length continuously over a given range. The focal length is adjusted by changing the driving voltage into the lens itself, up to about 60VAC. I’m sure about their optical properties, the datasheet quotes a 97% light transmission at 532nm. My first thought was how well would these work with lasers. I can imagine them passing 532nm green and maybe 635nm red quite well. Millions of images can be created in manual mode.
These battery-powered laser gloves will amaze a whole crowd of people at the same time. You can’t get better than that, even from a lab! The best part, however, is that these don’t have to be used in a lab. You can use them right here in your home. With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!
I would like to make some sort of computer/microcontroller based device that detects the distance of an object held infront of it, and adjusts the lens to focus a laser on it.That’s pretty damn cheap if it means getting my hands on a laser glove, might just have to buy one of those when I get a chance. These are the next big thing from Trinary Products.
